All is Not Lost

It appears that I took an extended blog break. No real reason. Things are not bad. Things are not extra good. I've just not felt like I had a lot to say. Lately it's not been about the talking, but it's been about the doing. Getting deeper into the new job I started in September. Doing what I can to create better lives for the four people with disabilities I work with. Getting to know them. Enjoying their company. Helping them to feel more "at home" in their homes. Learning from them.

Kellen is doing great. We've extended his school/work day and he is now eating lunch at school every day. He is still often anxious in public places, but his anxiety is not preventing him from going where he wants to go.

The humor that he brings keeps me going. Sometimes at bedtime he gets extra giddy...maybe just to burn off the excess energy before sleep. Last night as Sweet Husband was seeing Kellen off to bed, Kellen said, "Good night Dad, Good night Mom, (lets one rip....) Good night Fart!"

Jobs like that can be extra consuming and tiring. I'm glad you, Kellen and all are well and happy!

"good night fart"........

hahahahahahaha!

You or Sweet Husband should try to save one up.....and if Kellen does that again, YOU let one rip and then tell him "Mom says goodnight, Dad says goodnight, and Fart says poot night too!"

You should get a good laugh out of him......
