It's a Mystery

The thing about having someone like Kellen in our family is that we always have someone to blame when ~weird~ things happen. This week we left for a short road trip to Vancouver, Canada. When we stopped for hamburgers at Dick's Drive-In, Sweet Husband got out of the car and felt a cool breeze on the back of his leg. When he looked down he discovered a huge hole in the back of his jeans that wasn't there the day before. It looked like he either had a good run-in with a barbed wire fence, or someone had taken a pair of scissors to them. Upon closer inspection, there were also a couple of smaller holes in the front.

The mystery is: no one knows "how", or "when", or most importantly "why" Kellen did it, he just did it (we think). Unfortunately, we were going to be in Canada for a couple of nights and Sweet Husband packs light. Yes, you got it, he didn't pack any other pants. Since we were in another country, he decided to just go ahead and wear the jeans with the big hole in them.

Since Kellen's birth we've learned to live with a lot of ambiguity in our lives. Not everything can be explained. We tend to laugh, shake our heads and move on. Life is more interesting that way.

Jodi, this is too funny. Russell did the same thing about a month ago, but unfortunately to his sister's school uniform. It ended up costing me over $100 to replace it just so she could go back to school. She discovered it after her gym class when she pulled her uniform out of her back pack. Hysterics ensued and I had to leave work to do damage control.
