Nutcrackers in the Mist

There is a restaurant near my house which has a seasonal display of nutcrackers on their deck.

Every time I drive by, I make a mental note to bring my camera next time, but I keep forgetting...or if I remember, the weather is terrible, or the lighting...not right.

The weather wasn't great today either, but I figured I better take pictures before the nutcrackers are gone for the season.

A Perfectly Beautiful Day

It was an absolutely beautiful day. There is nothing like sunshine in late September. Sunshine is always appreciated in the Puget Sound area, but especially in September and October. There is the feeling that this may be the last day. Soon it will be overcast and raining (again)and this might be the very...last...day until late May to run around in shorts and flip-flops.

Tomorrow we drive to Portland to pick up my new car. I'm selling my current car to D.Q., so today the weather was perfect for me to clean it out.

I couldn't believe how big my trunk was once I took out all of the flipcharts (and other stuff) I had in there.

When D.Q.s boyfriend arrived to pick her up, I mentioned to him that my trunk was so big I could fit a dead body in there. They decided to check it out.

Yep! I could have fit two dead bodies in there.

The weather was so nice that people called in "sick" to Sweet Husband's work and he was mandated to work four hours of overtime. Maybe they were really sick, I don't know. I'm just saying.

Late in the afternoon, K and I went to see the movie Get Smart. We loved it! As we were walking out he saw a friend with autism who graduated from his school last year. They gave each other a big hug and Kellen wished him a Happy Valentine's Day.

Walking to the car I could tell there was a beautiful sunset in process so we rushed home to pick up my camera and drive down to the bay.

It was an incredibly, perfectly, beautiful day.
