You and Me

Some language and grammar concepts took Kellen a long time to learn. For instance, when he wanted me to pick him up, he used to say, "Hold you?"

We would work with him a lot on changing you to I, and me to you. We knew he had it down when we heard him singing along to a CD which had the song Amazing Grace on it. As the singer sang, "...that saved a wretch like me", Kellen sang along, "...that saved a wretch like YOU".

Too funny. I am a wretch, come to think of it. Kellen is on to me. :)

My Victor is the same way! He doesn't get the personal pronouns!
Except, recently, he uses "YOU" in an accusing, finger-pointing way: he has figured out "mommy-blame".
