Sometimes it takes awhile for us to be sure that Kellen has understood a concept. He is wonderful with his cat, Max, but sometimes we have to remind him to be careful how he holds him. We'll use phrases such as, "don't hold him so tight", "you're hurting him", "make sure you put your arm under his bottom". The other day Kellen's dad was holding Max and started to sing. Kellen cried, "Daaaad, you're hurting him!!"
