Well now.
What have I been doing while not blogging?
1. Organizing two holiday parties. One for work and one for my parent's group. As of last night, they are both over.
2. Working, working, working and more working. Having a new job is hard work. Good work...but hard work.
3. Not Christmas shopping.
4. Worrying about not Christmas shopping.
Kellen has been out of the hospital for well over a month now and he is doing great. He was able to attend both holiday parties. He was anxious and got very overstimulated. He was wound-up, loud and inappropriate at times...but he was able to go. That's huge. He has also been going to his work program every day and hasn't had to take any "mental health" days. For the most part he has been able to do his volunteer greeter job at church as well. When we discussed changing K's medication while he was in the hospital it was really important to us that his personality not be affected. We did not want to live with a zombie. The great news is that we have a more functional son who feels better, can get out of bed, and lead his life...and retains the essence of who he is: fun, affectionate and magnetic.

Such great news! That's fantastic that he's doing so well. It was really important to me as well, that Jaysen not be doing the "Thorazine Shuffle" when it came time to medicate.
Yay! So nice to hear! :)
Thansk for the update!
Really lovely to hear that Kellen is going so well :)
Yay you! Yay Kellen!
That's very good news. We're all rooting for Kellen and as a result, for you too. Don't sweat too much over the Christmas shopping and get caught up in the commercial aspect of the season. You are a loving person with a lot of stress in your life recently from having Kellen in the hospital. You don't need or deserve the added stress finding just the perfect gift(s) brings.
Love ya girlfriend!
That IS super news! Finding your son again is wonderful. I'm sure that's an understatement!!
