Eight Random Things

I was tagged by Penny at Disability Studies, Temple U. to share Eight Random Things About Me, so here goes:

1. When I was in my mid-20's I had a possible auto-immune response to possibly a virus and possibly my immune system possibly attacked the virus but also my optic nerve. As a result, I lost most of the peripheral vision in my right eye. It isn't a huge problem for me, but I sometimes run over small children if they're in my "blind spot".

2. I have Chris Everett-Lloyd's autograph. I got to see her play in a Virginia Slims tennis event when she came to Seattle.

3. When I was in sixth grade, my male teacher would always tease me about being a "women's libber" and I had no idea why.

4. My tennis coach in college nicknamed me "The Commander" and I didn't know why

5. I drink Mocha frappuccinos nearly every day for breakfast. I find if I do this, it gets rid of my chocolate craving for the rest of the day.

6. I think the designer Nate Berkus (who is always on Oprah) is just about the cutest person in the world. Sweet Husband is well aware as I can't hide it.

7. I love jeans and pretty much wear them 7 days a week. If I'm not wearing jeans, I'm wearing denim shorts.

8. I met Sweet Husband when we were both working at a small health club. Trying to be professional, we kept our relationship somewhat under wraps, so many of our clients thought we were brother and sister. As a result, they were very surprised when we announced our engagement.
